About Lynx

Lynx is a text-based, cloud-based programming environment that is the natural next step for kids that are ready to move on from using blocks or pictures to code but might not be quite ready to use more complex, professional programming languages like Python or JavaScript.

Lynx uses words to write code. These words are clear and understandable, for example, forward, right, repeat, wait, random.

By learning about 40 key words, also known as primitives in Lynx, kids will have enough knowledge to make dozens of different projects.

In total, there are about 175 primitives in Lynx and kids can learn to write code properly.

There are powerful debugging tools available.
